Forensic Death Investigation Overview

The online Graduate Certificate in Forensic Death Investigation is provided by UF’s College of Pharmacy in collaboration with The University of Edinburgh College of Medicine. It focuses on the investigation of crime and death using forensic pathology, anthropology and DNA analysis.

This program may be of interest to those currently working or seeking employment in the following areas: crime laboratories, medical examiners’ offices, law enforcement agencies, criminal defense firms, prosecution attorneys’ offices, and hospital and clinical chemistry laboratories.

Degree Completion

Upon completion of the 15-credit certificate program, students will receive a University of Florida Graduate Certificate in Forensic Death Investigation. This certificate program is open to appropriately qualified local, national and international students.

  • Introduction to Forensic Medicine 1 should be taken before Introduction to Forensic Medicine 2.

Graduation Requirements

In order to earn this certificate, students must complete all required courses with a grade of C or higher and an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must apply to graduate in their final term.
