  • Veterinary Forensic Sciences: Master’s Degree and Graduate Certificate

    The UF online Veterinary Forensic Sciences Graduate Program is designed for local, national, and international professionals in forensic medicine and veterinary science fields. Professionals at all levels will benefit from this program, as well as master's-level students in forensic sciences, biology, zoology, wildlife, and natural resource conservation fields.

    Through this program, students will learn how to process animal crimes scenes, handle and interpret evidence, and recognize animal abuse, along with other skills that are vital to obtaining justice for abused animals.

    The 30-credit online Master of Science in Veterinary Forensic Sciences prepares students for veterinary forensics in the field, as well as teaching them animal law, pathology, and more to advance their career.

    Online Graduate Certificate

    The five 3-credit courses in the online Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Forensic Sciences helps professionals gain qualifications for work in veterinary forensic sciences and further career advancement.

    There is an application fee of $30. The fee is waived for non-degree applicants.

    Master's Degree Admission Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in a natural science subject
      OR
      A DVM degree
    • An upper-division GPA of a 2.0 or better
    • GRE examination with a minimum score of 153 Verbal and 144 Quantitative (500 each prior to August 2011)

    How much does it cost?

    Tuition for the online master's degree and graduate certificate program is $525 per credit hour, regardless of the student's residency.

    Cost per 3-Credit Hour Course: $1,575
    Graduate Certificate Total: $7,875
    Master's Degree Total: $15,750

    Note: Costs are approximate and do not include fees or textbooks.

    Graduate certificate students are responsible for capital improvement, and technology fees. Master's degree students are responsible for those fees, plus financial aid fees. Students may review the full schedule of fees here.
